「꿈은 어떻게 이룰 수 있는 것일까」 나의 출발점은 아주 단순하다. 질문을 하는 것 같지만 곰곰이 생각해보면 이것은 무척이나 모호한 문제이고 정답을 알 수 있는 일은 더욱이 아니다. 그렇기에 그저 이유를 알아보자는 것에 더 가깝다. 그러므로 나의 작업은 구체적 상황에 대한 묘사보다 「현실화되지 않은 꿈」 이라는 이상(理想)에 도달하는 가능성을 높이는 수단에 대한 형상화이며 과정의 기록이다. 그 상상의 공간에서 나는 삶의 이면에 존재하는 다층적이고 다의적인 모호함을 맞닥뜨린 불안의 감정이 드러나기를 원했다. 흑백의 명암대비로 연결과 반복된 장면을 쌓아 축적된 허구적 서사는 결국 나아가는건지 아니면 뒤로 돌아가는 건지 알 수 없는 불안감에서 벗어나 내일을 낙관하기 위한 여러 개의 출구를 만드는 우리들의 이야기라고 결론 내렸기 때문이다. 미약하게나마 그것이 누군가에겐 잃어버린 동력이 되길 바라면서. ■ 남희승

"How can a dream be achieved" My point of initiation is actually quite simple. It seems like a question that may come with an answer, but if you really think about it, it's quite perplexing, nor can it be resolved with an acute answer. With this being said it's only conceivable that we seek for at reasons. Then, my objective of this project is not to express in details the circumstances, but to enhance and record the tangible probabilities of achieving the ideal "dream that has not yet been realized". In that imaginary realm, I hoped to unveil the feelings of anxiety that inevitably faced the complex and multifaceted ambiguity that exists behind every scene of life. This is because I have already concluded that the fictional narrative accumulated via the repeated black white scenes are merely our own stories to break away from the anxiety that derives from the unknown future. Further, I've also come to a conclusion that these scenes are multiple exits that we create for ourselves to remain optimistic about what is to come tomorrow.
