김소산 개인전 『'뭐는 뭐고,뭐는 뭐다.'』이 오는 6월 21일부터 7월5일까지 영등포 문래동 스페이스 9 갤러리에서 열린다. 이번 전시에서는 설치작업 「'시간을 완성하는 짓기'」과 페인팅작업 「바람이 부는대로 물결치는 대로」으로 섞김에 합이 되는 모양새를 자연의 재배치로 보여준다. '안 보이는 세상에 대해 끊임없이 질문 하는 것'의 의미를 던져보이는 전시가 되겠다. 수집된 나뭇조각들과 오브제들로 연결된 거대한 구조물과 사운드 작업을 연결하여 자연의 재배치를 펼쳐 보인다. 설치작업(깊은 공간 6- 시간을 완성하는 짓기)과 페인팅 작업(바람 부는 대로 물결치는 대로)은 겹겹이 쌓인 조각파편들과 이미지의 종이들이 서로 맞물리고 얽히는 방식으로 검은색, 회색의 단조로운 톤의 질감으로 전개된다. ■

그 시대가 가지고 있는 풍조나 형세를 생각해 보면, 이것이다! 라는 모습들이 섞여있다. 섞임에 합이 되는 모양새를 의도적인 자연의 재배치로 표현해 보았다. ● 창밖에서 들려오는 차 소리가 파도 소리로 들리고, 무성한 나뭇잎이 흔들이는 소리가 물결 파장의 울림으로 느낄 때가 있다. ● 바람 부는 대로 물결치는 대로 바람과 물결이 하나의 톤과 질감으로 느껴본다. ● 본연의 자연만이 존재하는 것이 아니고, 의도적인 자연 배치를 통해 존재를 만든다. ● 깊은 바다 속에서 바람과 함께 새소리가 들리고, 지상에서는 물결의 파장이 느껴진다면…… 꿈틀거림의 디테일을 강조하고, 내제된 공간을 드러내게 하면서, 시선의 이동을 빛을 통해 이야기를 보이게 한다. 빛의 강도와 위치를 조정함으로써, 빛에 미묘한 차이에 따라 하나의 기억과 감정이 실린 공간으로 변화되는 모습을 본다. ● 동~~~~~~.서~~~~~.남~~~~~~,북~~~~~~ 목소리로 사운드 작업을 녹음을 하고, 물결소리와 바람소리를 공기의 진동으로 합을 만든다. 그 안에 인식의 쾌감을 설정함으로써, 합이 이루는 반전적인 생각이 능동적으로 가져 갈 수 있게 해본다.

깊은 학습을 통해 설명을 해주기보단, '안 보이는 세상에 대해 끊임없이 질문 하는 것'의 의미를 던져본다. 지금 `현재'와 `상상한 미래의 내가 지금을 기억하는 것'이 작업의 언어로 만들어 지고 `뭐는 뭐다'가 더 이상 설명이 되는 것이 아닌, 레이 어를 가진 뇌를 모방하듯이 보고 듣고 얘기하는 조합으로 인식이 이루어진다. ● 바다 속 물결소리와 지상의 바람소리가 묘하게 섞을 줄 아는 `균형 잡힌 합'의 공간을 보는 것이 아닌, '뭐는 뭐고, 뭐는 뭐다'의 경험하는 것으로 기억을 만든다. ● 일제 강점기때 지어진 전시장 내부천장에는 석가래 가 굵직하게 역사를 말하고 있다. 오래된 색감을 가진 나무골격들 사이사이에 수집된 나뭇조각들의 나열이 하나의 장식이 되어 공간이 통째로 하나의 작품이 되게 설치가 되었다. 누드로 보이는 버려진 피아노 알맹이가 오브제가 되고, 거대한 구조물이 사운드 작업과 연결하여 가상의 자연 재배치를 펼쳐 보인다. 설치작업(깊은 공간 6- 시간을 완성하는 짓기 Building that Completes Time)과 페인팅 작업(바람 부는 대로 물결치는 대로 As the Wind Blows, as the Ripples Run)은 겹겹이 쌓인 조각파편들과 이미지의 종이들이 서로 맞물리고 얽히는 방식으로 검은색, 회색의 단조로운 톤이 질감으로 자연의 재배치를 선사한다. ■ 김소산

Considering the trends and conditions of that era, mixed in there are impressions that shout out, 'This is it!' The appearance being the harmony of the mixture is expressed by intentional rearrangement of nature. ● Sometimes the sound of a car coming through the window resembles that of breaking sea waves, while the sound of the swaying lush leaves is like the reverberation of waves. ● As the wind blows, as the waves ripples, the wind and the waves are felt as one tone and texture. ● It is not just the nature as itself existing, but an event is created through intentional arrangement of nature. ● If I could hear the bird singing along with the wind under the sea and feel the waves on the ground…… Emphasizing the details of the wriggling and revealing the inner space, the movement of the gaze is expressed through light. ● 'The light rises from behind the western mountain and descends into the eastern sea.' ● By adjusting the intensity and position of the light, I see whether it is transformed into a space filled with memories and emotions in response to subtle differences of the light. ● West~~~~~. East~~~~~~. I try to turn it into a voice, and combine the sound of waves and wind with vibrations of the air. Also, by setting the pleasure of recognition through 'one point difference', I try to make the opposite thought to be taken actively. ● Rather than providing an explanation through deep learning, I try to present the meaning of 'constantly asking questions about the invisible world'. The current 'now' and 'remembering the present me of the imagined future' are turned into the language of the work, and in a way that 'what is what' cannot be further explained, it is perceived in a combination of stories seen and heard like a way one imitates how the brain works. What are the important features? I hope naive thoughts of wanting to know remain as meanings. ● Looking at the background where the sound of waves in the sea and the sound of the wind on the ground combine, I create memories by experiencing the space rather than seeing it. ● A virtual natural rearrangement unfolds by linking a huge structure connected with the collected wood fragments and objects and sound work. In the installation work (Deep Space 6- Building that Completes Time) and painting (As the Wind Blows, as the Ripples Run), the monotonous tones of black and gray are textured in such a way that layered pieces of fragments and the papers of the image are intertwined and entangled with each other to offer a relocation of nature. ■ Sosan Kim
